A traditional bathroom design is simple and bold, yet not necessarily antique-looking. You have to make sure that you keep the colour scheme natural and plain by sticking to colours that are slightly off white or dark brown for your bathroom vanity and furniture.

The bathroom pieces have to be basic in shape and design, and you must avoid clutter by having only a few of these pieces in the room. You can also go for a more elegant look if you want, but always remember to keep the design moderate in appearance. You can use old chequered floors and free standing bathtubs, or hardwood floors and a porcelain tub.
